Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
Yeah. People tend to not take it that seriously because even most people who think copyright is a good idea know that the way it's set up right now is an illogical, corrupt, biased mess. I've read in the past legal recommendations that you should simply assume you are breaking the law, because...
It's a rule that people don't actually care about*; even the people enforcing it frame the issue as "we're doing this for legal reasons", not because they actually care about the issue much if at all. So people are treating it like an inconvenience to be avoided or a logic puzzle to be solved...
People reflexively tend to try to rules lawyer rules they don't like. And while nobody seems to be passionately against it, nobody seems to rate this rule any higher than "I don't like it but understand why it's needed" either.
So people are idly poking at it.
If you said that to me my reaction would be "Bhwah?!"
At any rate the link being broken as described doesn't seem like it would result in much of a hardship to search for the original anyway.
As said, they don't want to (and can't anyway) pay for a legion of lawyers to deal with the problem...
Also, early on it's really the only tool they have; an infant can't actually do much to deal with even minor issues beyond "cry for Mommy and Daddy and hope they make it better". By the time they are old and capable enough they could deal with such minor issues themselves (or ask for help in a...
That, to me was one of the big appeals of Morrowind. So many fantasy settings are just some variation of generic European medieval or vaguely Asian design that it was really fun to play in a setting that felt actually exotic. Weird people, weird culture, weird creatures, weird landscape.
The Hulk with a Red Power Ring is an old one. The debate being whether it's be a huge power up it a major detriment with it trying to affect his blood and heart against his regen,
I considered a long time ago the scenario of a team up between Gallant from Worm and the Hulk, with Gallant zapping...
Yeah. The concept of fiction "being real somewhere" is fun in the abstract but gets pretty dark when you consider just how much nasty stuff is in there.
Reminds me of a funny short story Mercedes Lackey wrote where she's confronted by her characters over all the awful things she's put them...
The Wormfic Ignis et Furor would be the exception that proves the rule. Sol Invicta declares the Solar Dominion and fights off the US military and Protectorate to make it stick.
Though he knew not what kingdom she hailed from, the knight hoped to be rewarded for freeing the princess from her captivity to a dragon.
She did at least thank him before devouring him.
Yes. Everything is interrelated in the economy, so inflation is something that affects everything, eventually. Not always to the same degree, but that's why it's prices in general that rise; not just a few products.
It's something I've seen on multiple forums, generally when some sort of lag or disconnect has screwed up normal interaction. You should pay attention to what the message is because sometimes in such situations what I've gotten is a question asking me if I want to remove a reaction, because the...
