The issue with logging in with email addresses has been resolved.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
Nothing beyond the gold standard Lord of the Rings. Most of the stuff I learned that I consider useful doesn't originate in academia, or books more generally. I did like The Three Musketeers novel though.
For SV is different, I agreed with a quest character once that she should've suffered the full consequences for treason. For this, a mod gave me a 'don't be hateful' infraction, which arose such disgust with their moderation within me that I told them to stick it, knowing they'd ban me. It was...
I suspect it's the mods slandering me as a writer of CP (that was their bogus reason for my ban) for the high crime of poking holes into one of their rule changes one time. If you believe there's any logic to their actions at all, anyway. What, people talk about me there? Color me shocked.
Why are you bringing other settings into this? I only said DxD is a horror setting and not seeing that acknowledged is the hated fanfic trope I chose to mention in the hated fanfic tropes thread. What other settings are like is completely irrelevant.
I agree with everything you said in this post, but I'd still like to say that 'gambling' might have its place if the author is a bleeding heart. Or just isn't sure how a certain plot development should happen. For example, say a big war is taking place, and he has a bunch of fleshed out...
Jesus wept, I did no such thing, I expressed praise for your choice of portrayal, but here you are biting my head off anyway. Since confirmation bias is the rule of the day, I'll be leaving.
Acting like this was some great favor, no, sacrifice, are you serious?
