    Video game mechanics have absolutely no place in storytelling unless you are writing a story that's taking place in an actual video game like SAO or .hack. The entire LitRPG """genre""" could be put to the torch and nothing of value would be lost. Fucking preach it.

    Just wrapped up Trails through Daybreak just in time for the next one to come out in two weeks. Overall not my favorite of the Trails games but a solid experience and a good story. Would recommend as a potential jumping-on point for anyone looking to get into the franchise.
