The issue with logging in with email addresses has been resolved.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
The parasol and shoes I took off and left in the entrance. I wouldn't need them.
I took it slow so my eyes could adjust. My whole body was tense, and I had the spear pointed in front of me, expecting an attack. I just knew there would be more scorpions in here. I just hoped it would be more...
The Hunter
He entered the cave but saw the stonework at the end and immediately slowed to a crawl. He frowned, puzzled. Some kind of cellar or underground ruin? He'd had no idea this was here. Just before the dirt of the cave became worked stone, he halted. Crouching with his bow in hand and...
ARWIN
Two of the men were guards, the same kind as those beaten up back in the study, though neither was blue-skinned. Their leader, however, was a different story.
He, too, was likely a foreigner, as evidenced by his dark brown skin, deep orange eyes, and golden eyebrows. Handsome and...

I'd like to say that as soon as I got my new levels, skills, and class, I immediately began to use them and started experimenting. No. I fell into a much-needed sleep. The new levels had kept me from dying, but I was beyond my normal limits. I hadn't even noticed [Passive: Second Wind] kick in...
Kai sprinted into the cave.
The wyvern slammed into the entrance. While its body was hung up on the hill, its legs shot through the cave entrance. Great big talons nearly caught Kai but kicked him forward instead.
Kai went rolling all the way down the short tunnel. He came to a stop in the...

Azamont stood in the center of his study, a riding crop in hand, his dark-purple tunic partially unbuttoned, face red with anger. Seeing the intrusion, his eyes bulged over his refined moustache. "Who are you? How dare you enter my home uninvited?"
A pretty young woman was on all...

Could you believe it? I couldn't. That many levels at once? A lucky seven? It was cracked. Broken. Overpowered.
Although, to be fair, Scorpio McSpiderface, the boss character, had been way out of my league. It had to have been something you fought as a party or ten...
This slime sat in the water, surrounded by decaying plant matter and bugs. It was much larger than Slimy and tinted a scummy brownish-green. The pond probably offered up a lot of great nutrition. It seemed that slimes were scavengers, consumers of the dead.
Kai was unable to carry the new...
ARWIN
They herded Orloff and the managers to a stone shed at the edge of the camp and locked them all inside. Then, they split into teams of two and three, each with their own assignment. Brawny Jacque and his daughter Bleu targeted the Tremblée estate. Arwin, Aoi, and the old man, Harl, ran...
I slipped under the surface. It was nearly pitch black with only the faintest light above and a vague sense of gravity that allowed me to keep my bearings. I blindly swam in what I hoped was an arc so I could get around to the scorpion's side. I tried my best to swim calmly with minimal motion...
Kai probably should have felt worse about the guy dying in the trap. He hadn't really put it together in his head that this kind of thing was going to happen, so this was a bit unexpected, a 'duh' moment of realization. Trouble was, he didn't really feel conflicted. The guy had been a real jerk...

Arwin approached the work camp with great caution, taking care to stay out of sight and making as little noise as possible. The sounds of the camp came to him: axes hitting wood, pick axes and hammers hitting rocks, the grunting of the blue-collared workers, and the scathing commands...

The Oasis
I watched that huge-ass papa scorpion coming for me. Maybe it was the way the starlight reflected off the thing's shiny exoskeleton. Maybe it was how it dwarfed me in size and power. But it reminded me of Beef, someone I hadn't thought of in a while.
Seeing it reminded me how much...
Kai soon realized that his sense of space had been totally screwed up, thanks to his transformation. What had once seemed close in human terms now seemed much, much further away in gremlin terms. Shorter legs. That was partially why all his exploring in the first couple of days here had seemed...
ARWIN
There was an indefinite period of nothingness. Then bright sunlight blinded Arwin. He rocked and rolled in his seat as the car sped through the musical blue field. Instinctively, he slammed on the brakes and twisted the wheel. The car swerved, slid sideways, and came to a halt a hand's...
