    M8, were you perhaps not a little too generous with the Horde's remaining numbers vs the Alliance? In spite of going from conflict to conflict, from Draenor to Azeroth, with a brutal regime and hunter/gatherer society. They still somehow outnumber the humans by more than 3 to 1.

    Yes, Gul'dan did pull a substantial amount of their remaining forces with him, when he went after The Tomb. But most of them still got crushed and overwhelmed by human forces. Long after Stormwind had fallen, and Khaz Modan was under siege.

    I do realize we've had a lot of changes, but they've been severly bloodied every step of the way, and at times taken out in great swathes of many thousands at a time.

    Even Tides of Darkness did not make it seem that bad(game or novel).

    Unless you count that version in the game that has The Horde achieving complete victory. Which is as devoid from canon as the one where The Alliance does the same.

    It should be noted that they were not so focused on exact numbers though. Just hints at things going to shit, and eveything being hopeless.

    Agreed, my own Warcraft stories pale in comparison. I eagerly await each new chapter.

    One of the things I would say that people need to realize about the maps is that it only showed active military forces. The Horde is what you see. The humans in training is not shown. likewise i did not show the horde naval forces yet because it is still in training.
