I like that a lot. Now, Hamish has been invited by Lucan to allow Grove druids into the acadmies. There are Tormathi sages who think this is folly. Allowing the chaos and destruction of the Old gods in. Lucan is doing it as a bleeding heart wanting peace, but also, if Hamish is lecturing, he isn't skinning people and ripping out their organs to feed to trees. Lucan wants to domisticate the Old Gods traditions.

Hamish, he wants to bind the Groves together and make proper organization. While keeping individuality. The Eternal Fires of the dragonlords are on the downswing after the fall of the Old King. Hamish would have the Groves intergrated more with the courts, wanted by the nobles for advice and power

Can it even be domesticated if so much of the magic they've developed is based on sacrifice and bloodshed?

Sure but is everyone else going to accept that? And plus it's like trying to reform the Sith. If your magic system is based off of fear and suffering it's kind of hard to pivot into puppy dogs or rainbows. Of course the groove isn't that bad, but the point still stands. They have hundreds, maybe thousands of years, of sacrifices and blood flowing into these forests. You think they can slow it down now?

People not accepting that is the principled opposition against Lucan's position of supporting the Groves as part of a larger High Throne.

Oh, I'm not criticizing it. I'm just saying it's a great source of drama and how a lot of people are going to absolutely hate the idea of being forced to "civilize" for the sake of their genocidal neighbor.

Feeling pretty good. It's finally broke and I'm normal again. Thank God. Still a little tired and have an occasional cough, but it's over for sure. Had me some burgers for the first time in awhile. My Uncle also had a follow up to his surgery today, where they checked out everything. Made sure he was healing well and that it was all clear of cancer and he was great. So that's even more amazing.

Pretty good day all things considered. Just really hopes it awhile before me or my aunt get sick again cause that sucked.

Genderbends are always fun with a good design, since you can just how well it works no matter the circumstance.

Fingers crossed. But honestly one of the big reasons we were all so surprised by the case he had just now is that while he dealt with bladder cancer in the past, thanks to covid and the general chaos of my aunt and uncle's housing situation this past couple years.

They sold their house in California back in 2018 and bought an RV and have been driving around before they settled in Texas with their kids this past year. Meant that it was really hard for them to schedule doctor's visits and follow up appointments. Which meant this one had time to become a problem before it was picked up.

But I'm cool with Charlie or Shatter Kingdoms. If we do Charlie though I'm going to be a little rusty considering my brain has been frying the last week with fever dreams. lol. Did I ever tell you about some of those?

But now things are better for him and RV isn't so bad an issue?

He's a lot better. He's settled down in one spot near family. has a new job, he hated his old one. Plus he's got a whole new system to make sure he gets those doctor's visits set in stone. And I hate to say it, but this world building is way too up my alley. So magic and the economy. lol.
