Questionable Questing

Ouch.

Does it have bluetooth? If the answer is yes you can use a receptor and plug it into the speakers!!

It's not the speakers, it's the sound card drivers. Utterly broken and utterly resistant to uninstallation or clean reinstalls.

Idt?

I don't know what that means.
And evidently it isn't the sound card driver, given that I finally managed to replace it with a clean install and it still isn't fixed.

IDT is a soundcard manufacturer. I have one of those in a notebook, and when it does what you said, the solution is using an external program to delete the driver. Simply uninstalling doesn't actually delete the driver.

I don't have the program on hand, when I get home I'll tell you the name so you give it a try, turn off (don't reset) then install the new driver.

The bluetooth solution still works BTW, it works even if your Audio chipset is shorted. I think a bluetooth audio receiver is 40$ at most.

At this point I'm now reasonably sure the issue doesn't directly involve the sound drivers so much as...other things, which because my computer is an outdated piece of crap in many ways, can't be fixed.
Plotvitalnpc
Plotvitalnpc
Hm. Don't think it has bluetooth of any sort.

You'd be surprised. A Dual Core T4200 with 4gb of RAM from over 5 years ago gives me rougly the same performance of a i3-2664M with 2gb. Computers are not irreplaceable by any means, but they do not get useless that fast.
