Questionable Questing

Aren't all SI's self-indulgent?

Unless one hates oneself? I tend to kill off characters based on myself in my stories, but maybe I'm mildly masochist?

That is a problem, when your SI tends to think if the world is a simulation/writing, and decided not to play along... Thus, incentives.

So basically... Fallout?

Not alot of dungeon-types, too many feral human (read: raiders), and farming only really comes up after NV and 4.

Oh, and I am thinking more of Front Mission: Gunhazard's FN-8G Harby-G, but smaller, than Fallout's PA.... Maybe that Train Power Armor mod?

On regards of meta SI: Once, I had a thought of SI realizing that he is an SI, and cursed the author, only for an author avatar to appear and start becoming the antagonist. It ends hanging, either before the final battle or before the SI's timeskip power training montage, of the author avatar looking up into the screen and asking the author if this is what he really wanted to write... And the author said no.

Wouldn't a SI and a Author Avatar basically be the same person then :l

The SI is the subject of the story. But the author avatar previously was the one who narrates the story. The one that tells the audience that the SI has just woken up in the surface of the moon, naked but for an Orange Power Ring- Wait, wrong story.

Could be argued that all that is in a story is a written down perception of the author in regards of said item. Thus all things in a story is part of the author as well.
