I got nine pulled at the same time, including all four wisdom teeth.

The worst part for me was getting over the sedatives. There was no pain whatsoever, though I took my painkillers religiously anyways.

I was under general anaesthesia, so I was totally unconscious during the operation. Only goofiness was me humming anime theme music for a little bit.

Took quite a few hours (and with them, changes of gauze as prescribed by the instructions), for me to get the right force and consistency of biting down to properly form the beginnings of the clots and stop the part of the bleeding that's expected to stop during the first day.

Oh I know exactly what you mean. One of mine took out a shard of the jaw with it and I thought the bleeding would never really stop. Took me the whole rest of the day to finally get to the point where it finally just gave up and clotted.

Haven't taken the prescribed opiate at all yet, the ibuprofen given as an anti-inflammatory is sufficient for what pain there currently is, and the instructions on the hydrocodone specify that it be taken "Once per four hours, as necessary to control pain." Hopefully I'll be able to go through the worst of the recovery period without needing to lean on it much.
