Sure, Gaara's seal is a piece of shit that doesn't separate his and Shukaku's minds well, and sure, Bee says his seal (which is literally shaped like the kanji for iron) is lower quality than the eight trigrams sealing method...but nothing really stands out.

Are the traits Minato gave Naruto's seal - allowing a passive drip of TB chakra, and gradually increasing how much is accessible rather than starting with all of it available, really that unusual?

Are there seals that only give you a strong passive drip? Seals that sacrifice some chakra outflow to enhance the traits the host gets? Seals that give an always on, at-mutual-desire mindphone to the two from the beginning? Could you make a seal that doesn't let any power out at all, to just contain the bijuu?

Is it possible for a seal that'd be perfectly fine handling three tails of power, but would break when a fourth was drawn out, would require less work and skill to engineer than one that can handle nine no problem?
