  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

Questionable Questing

It just summons material from somewhere else. That's why the mana cost of a summoning goes up if you want something that isn't common in nature. It's also why it's so cheap for Daniel to summon molten iron under immense pressure for his bombs - because that's what about 20% of the planet is made of, even though most people don't know it.

Also a big fan. I just have one question about that from Extermination. How does earth's molten core synthesize with earth being hollow? Or is Gaia's realm in a parallel dimension or something?

I think that it is mentioned, but Gaia's realm is a separate dimension created by the titans (presumably by titans other than Gaia since inventions don't seem to be her thing). Since she is also a goddess of the earth (at least within Europe), she can connect caves in her realm to caves in Europe, but that is pure dimensional travel.

This is correct. Skogheim is actually a (rather large) pocket dimension. It isn't actually inside the Earth.

Thank you for weighing in so quickly! As said previously, I am a great fan of your work. I am planning my annual Daniel Black reread at some point this summer, is this a good place to ask questions about metaphysics/geopolitics/etc?
