To be clear, the genre is 'Reincarnated as (Minor) Antagonist in a Game', but the characters, the action, the pacing, the world building, the drama and relationship, everything is very well done.

I think a reviewer mentioned something like 6 parts adventure, 3 parts drama, 1 part litRPG? Something like that. The litRPG part is very, very, VERY basic. There is only one screen, that only shows up on a small handheld mirror. No explanation, no pop ups, no other list, but the MC considers the mirror as damning evidence, and a heavy yoke.

To start with, the MC (real name unknown) plays the game, which can be considered to be like Dragon Age, in terms of genre. High fantasy, bordering on epic, single player RPG with characters that can be recruited, factions, intrigue, drama, multiple cataclysms, and a waiting apocalypse.

Argrave, Bastard of the Vasquer royal family, was supposed to do minor crimes in some of the possible main characters timelines, and supposedly died on all of the timelines. Argrave, finding this out... Decided to stop the final apocalypse instead.

He tries his best, and sometimes comes off hard man making hard decisions on the face of the apocalypse, but more often skids onto the side of morality. His two -changed to three and four, but possibly going back to three- companions, are part morality pets, part pragmatic pets.
