  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.

Konoha has the most people, the same wealth as everyone but kumo, and a military weaker than either of their vehement enemies, and only stronger than their ally. Their ninjas are fairly inefficient at bringing in profit, and that profit is distributed between more pockets than anywhere else.

Iwa has more ninjas, who bring in even less money per-capita, but they have fewer people that the village economy needs to support, so they might just be tied.

Suna is the same as Kiri but with fewer, more individually profitable ninjas. The average ninja is wealthier, while the average person is equally wealthy, and considerably wealthier than in Konoha, presumably.

Kumo has a middling population, is tied for best military, and is the only nation with a greater than 1 ratio of econ to military. Not only are they the strongest, they're the most profitable. Perhaps having jinchuurikis to guard their village, combined with a very defensible location, means that they can commit more forces to actually making bank.

Thought: Konoha is overstretched. Their ninja forces are overworked. They do not have enough Ninja.

They do have a massive population.

Something one Hokage or another has done has lead to a civilian disinterest in becoming Ninja.
