  • Untabletop things... I actually never knew you could throw potions for ranged, aoe heals. Neat. Also, I used to focus on picking up fire barrels in the other larian game, but now I have to also stock up on crates and candles if I wanna play hard mode... also, it's so weird that merchant inventories are aligned with your level.

Yeah also if you put a healing potion on the ground and attack it, it explodes for an even bigger AOE heal.
It's just, you know, Halsin gets to bulldoze over goblin children while in bear form just because they tossed some rocks at him, but when the tiefling kids do similar things to annoy me, I can't toss a fireball back at them? They just walk around invincible. I mean, look, I get not killing human kids in vidya because ESRB, but foulbloods are just like greenskins, don't get human rights. They aren't human, after all.
Sooo I am came here cause all your stuff was deleted from ff.net (which sucks, I'm sorry bout that). How do I find your stories or navigate here??? Its a bit confusing tbh
Hey dude, im sorry that site deleted your stuff, hope whichever mod decided that gets fired, best of luck
I saw that all your stories were deleted from FFN today. I am guessing that was admin's action since not even profile's page was spared. Is there a chance that they will be uploaded to your AO3 account (at least multi-chapter ones? )?
So anyway, I fell prey to the mmo alt-itis, despite it being a single player crpg, and started a fifth playthrough with a different dark urge build... lmao three-class multiclass bulldozing my way through the game
It's just, you know, you should be able to "lone wolf" it by not taking any companions, or by rejecting every one of them who tries to join you, or killing all of them...

You don't really have the opportunity to slaughter the other side once you've slaughtered one side. Like I tried killing off the druids first, and then the story just progresses, same with the goblins. Though, I guess you could still kill either side afterwards, but I think it'd more interesting to let them kill each other while profiting on the side.

Hmm interesting. Yeah I guess there are always going to be limitations with video games. I'm just happy to have as much choice as BG3 does offer, especially compared to the lack of choice in so many other games these days.

Yes, BG3 is far ahead of most other CRPGs in this regard. I don't mind the limitation, it's human nature to always want a little more after all.

It's just a matter of having only two extremes; if there's a "extreme moderate" as the third option, I'd be sated, at least.
I don't like my pure evil playthrough. It's like, you can't be 'selfish', you can only be 'saturday morning cartoon' when there's an evil choice, you know?

My good boi murderhobo playthrough fits me a bit more. It sometimes feels like being good is more selfish, mhm.

Stealth archery rogue shit is something I tried a lot, but I gave up on it because I could never get the swap between real time and turn base for the stealth actions right. Also because everyone immediately detects shit and you can't really one shot sneak kill the ones that matter, and you always get revealed so it's like, urgh.

Thing is, there's a lot of fun builds that require items to complete, but by the time I get the items, I don't have a lot of room to show off the cool build... so basically, I just did a warlock dark urge thing, like an anti-wyll lmao

For example, I tried doing rogue and then I could never get passed the hag fight, you know the one in early act one? Ughhhhh
I'll admit it, I guess Shadowheart isn't that bad. It's always a situational thing, I guess I'm just surrounded by hot girls irl, but when I'm stuck Baldur's Gate, and there's no pretty people except for those with magic STIs, she's actually quite pretty.

I killed minthara in my first playthrough too, but when I was playing less "heroic good" and on the harder difficulty where I couldn't wade through oceans of blood, I found that a lot of the time I had to talk my way through things, and that got me into the minthara route, tho at the time it was just a "fuck and forget"

honestly, this game just makes me kind of wish to have an OP villain protagonist in the setting rather than play through the actual story, though, only a bit, I guess, I mean, not that much like the witcher was, but still significant

I just think that even though there's a lot more options compared to back when it was in EA, it's still rather limited in the kind of story it can tell... no open world mode lmao (understandably, because impossible until sophisticated AI maybe)
I feel slightly vindicated that Baldur's Gate 3's release is turning out to be something of a gaming event thing like the big ones, having bought it the moment it went on Steam way back when there wasn't even a full Act 1, but at the same time, there's a feeling like 'this is my thing, you newcomers go get your own', and I hate how human those feelings are.

Haha, I've been waiting since 2021 when my dnd friends had me buy it and we played 3 hours of Act 1 together. I knew then and there to not touch it again until Full Release and now I'm finally being rewarded for my patience~

I still want to one day figure out how to feed an AI the entire library of my work, all 5000-6000+ Word Documents and just see what it spits out in response.

I'm just too lazy/computer illiterate to bother figuring it out

Its actually only lvl 12, it was lvl 10 but they wanted to be able to let people play with sixth level spells like Chain Lightning I guess?

But yeah, I do wish it could go to lvl 20 fufufu. But I'm also happy for lvl 12

I'm not sure about the Dark Urge stuff, but I guess it'll be an interesting thing to try.

As to Starfield, I'll probably get it a year later when the 50xx series cards come out, some bugs have been officially patched while 98% are fan patched, and reviews are out.

Yeah for me, Starfield is basically 'free' because I already pay for Xbox Game pass for PC. So I'll likely try it out from the start. Though if its unplayable, I'll wait a bit to give them time to patch it.

Didn't go in with any expectations, so The Flash turned out to be a pretty good movie experience. Didn't like the end though. Thought they were going to do something different with his mom's fate, but they just did the same thing with the show. I mean, the references and memes scattered around were humorous, I got them all, but, you know what I mean, right? That's sprinkles, not the meat.

The show definitely was better in the earlier seasons than the later ones. Hm, if it was just the character/actor of the Flash, then I could see that. Erza Miller is appealing to people outside of America in the way he acts, but show Flash has more appeal to American viewers

I think JLU Flash is probably better than both live action Flashes, but there are definitely cultural artifacts from the 90s in the way he's written

Most non-nerdy fans I talk to seem to either like both, or they couldn't understand the film. Subtitles ran too fast lmaooo
