To be honest, if I could tweak it, I'd write her running into Cyberpunk 2075... but I'm not knowledgeable enough of the expanded world

As to purely postapoc types; I have thought of Highschool of the Dead again because booba and simplicity of the story, Black Bullet because Loli Army, even Trigun and...

... but I don't think I want the "cooldown" arc to be too bloody, so probably nix that branch for something calmer

maybe a setting with mafias and stuff in the 1920's or something
