With Sasuke's paradoxically with how obsessed he is with power through out the series, he actually wants to be powerless in a way. he wants to be able to live his life no longer afraid of his brother, and by extension his family, will ever get hurt. he dreams of those days as a child when he had a clan and a big brother that protected him from everything and desperately wants to go back.
