Questionable Questing

We got two new people today so that's pretty cool. Maybe things will finally slow down a little.

I really like how stretched thin Lilith seems in her role. I mean with the show they barely do any world building with hell, which its not the focus of the story, but we constaly see Lilith being stressed about her image and about being proper but we don't know why. All we hear is she's the queen of hell and that's that.
Andy333
Andy333
here she rises to power thanks to her relationship with Lucifer, who's too caught up in his own personal stuff to rule, and she basically takes over his fiefdom of land, then through deals, intrigue, and different alliances with various family's and tribes, she slowly carves out a nation with rules and cities, only just barely functional after all this time. It adds a bit of desperation to her role which she needed.

It makes the whole queen of hell title mean so much more now.

Her Sinner demons and Fallen Demons are the one grand movement to make a worthy land out of Hell. What do you think of her queendom being very blood sport and sex fantasy based as befits demons but it is in contrast to her being both a sex symbol and chaste.

How the new guys at work?

New guys seem nice. They know their stuff and are fine with the work, so for now everything seems to be great.

I like the idea of the sinner's taking the idea that hell should be enjoyed. That it should be their own place. its almost a fuck you towards heaven of, you may have stuck me in this place but you can't stop me from having fun or making it my home. Its like an evolution of the old demons ideology with making their own hell with black jack and hookers.

Nice. What wakes Lucifer up? We have the Reclaimers declare blood feud with Charlie over her mishap, what else sparks Lucifer to rise from his Fall?
And exterminations, such a cool concept in the show and they only give us some LED angels. There's a thing about how angels can't be hurt by demons which I'm not a fan of.

I think what would be better is Angels have overwhelming firepower. Exterminations are giant legions of celestial warriors with blades and guns and miracles come to burn Hell

Lilith over the years wove connections between the Fallen and Sinners to create shared entertainment. Veroska and other Sucubi pop stars like her are part of how Lilith creates shared culture communication between Fallen and Sinners. In many places of Hell, this distinction is paramount. In Lilith's domain, they are of her grand nation project and loyal to it as their homeland.

As for Lilith, take Taylor Swift and make her a god queen metal singer demon. Give Lilith literal grand concerts where she performs and alters reality for the show with her power and she is the supreme art Idol of her queendom. The song of Lilith is a source of social clout she uses

I'm thinking what wake Lucifer up is the knowledge that Charlie is getting older. Its the realizations she thinking about moving out and starting her own life away from him. it basically made him realize how depended he was on their relationship and how afraid the idea of her being gone makes him.
Andy333

In a lot of ways him fixing up hell and being a good king, is because he wants Charlie to give up the idea of redemption and stay with him.

What I am getting is he's been a stay at home weirdo dad and happy little dumb consort for Lilith. With Charlie he hangs out sharing ducks and other foolish things or singing songs or putting on circus acts and spending time with her and Lilith.

With Liith they have sex, dance, and avoid things that will make him either angry or sad again. But Charlie stops visiting, and Lilith to keep an eye on Charlie also stops coming by the house, and that gets to Lucifer. I imagine Lilith has worked hard on helping her love recover from how fucked he was by the Fall and Lucifer owes so much of his mental health to her support.

But the spike of good humor that came with Charlie's birth and raising while great for them as a family and a couple, did drain out Lucifer's ambitions. He was content with sitting around being a goof. The other two sides also happy to just rest. I did have an idea to spark the plot if you are into it. Something with action

Sure lets here it, and yeah the idea of a goofy stay at home dad was what I was thinking to. it's a fun way to imagine Lucifer and its the only way that makes sense with how naive Charlie is. Her naivety is because she had two parents who were devoted to her basically full time and not really interacting with anyone else. her whole world is those two basically.

Its interesting that she never really had a teenage rebellion moment, at least until the hotel, where she wanted to move out or resented them for being as controlling as they are. It seems like Charlie would've been perfectly content to stay in locked away in her parents castle for the rest of eternity. I wonder what changed that? Would also be a good plot point.

Charlie during a Extermination opens up the Hotel as a shelter. This opens it up to attack by Angel black ops. Charlie suffers for her ideals, Vaggie fights and finds her limited angel powers even at her best aren't worth enough. Charlie gets hurt, bad.
Lilith finds out, she calls up Overlords and Fallen nobles to get their ass in gear and save their daughter.
