I'm thinking they arrive a little before the attack on hotel in lilith's territory, so we can get some world building on fiefs and the absence of Lucifer resulting in a bit of a free for all. Then build up from thee.

I actually had a funny scene in mind where the family learns about the hotel and the mom is tempted into going but the son call's her crazy and says, we have enough trouble with lesser demons extorting us and you want to get us involved with the head honcho's daughter?

Not only is a funny nod to any readers that's confused why nobody wants to go to the hotel, but its also good world building. Most of hell's residence try to keep their head down when the bigger demons start making moves.

I enjoy the humor.
Can use their perspective to one, terrify with how grand Lucifer's arrival against the Extermination was and establish for the Son a goal.

He wants to be strong enough to never be afraid again.

While the mom finds a friend group of Lilith demons who push her sexually

What pushes the dad to give up authority and masculinity to his son? What social groups in Hell does each family member start to draw inspiration from. Were any of them religious

I think the big thing with the dad is that he just doesn't handle stress or not being in control very good, and after he screwed up a few negotiations and gets his family in hot water he has a bit of a crisis in faith and starts turning to his much more capable son to take over.

It's his big character arc, accepting his son as the new head of the house hold and that includes accepting that he likes being a fat bottomed subby femboy and not a strong masculine man.

Also much like a lot of things in life, they were superfluously religious. They didn't actually believe they just did it because they thought it was expected. Its a big reason why the ended up in hell to begin with. They didn't do the right thing because they actually believed in it, but because they were afraid of what other people would think of them.

Now what Hell beliefs should they pick up and where does dad find the ideal of fat bottomed breeding hips and pretty chest femboy?

The big thing they pick up is the freedom to be whoever they want. All their life they've been hiding who they really are and trying really hard to pretend to be proper and respectable and finally the found a place where being a sexual degenerate is honored and respected.

How does our lad start the Quest to become become Overlord and rise through the ranks of Hell?

I'm thinking the dad does something stupid and either insults or gets into debt with an overlord, and the son steps in with some smooth talking and just the right mix of begging and threatening that he was able to get a job as an assistant of some kind to pay of the debt and through that he gain's confidence, experience, but most importantly respect from others and his family as the leader of the family.

Maybe a good old fashioned milf should be the over lord, someone to get the mom and sister jealous, and the first target for the son to conquer.

And how can the Family be used to examine a survival plot in Hell. What makes Hell dangerous and dark, what customs do people keep to in order to prosper in this gorgeous nightmare?

Here we can see virtues but also corruption of Lilith's Queendom. What protections does her justice give the family and what is left out in regards to Oveord Contracts?

I think the big issue with hell is that you have people that are so stupidly powerful they can't be stopped or reigned in except by Lucifer and Lilith, and those two have much bigger things their dealing with that some no name demon terrorizing recently inducted sinners.
