Questionable Questing

I'm feeling a lot better, stay home and chilled and been taking the antibiotic's. I think by this weekend I'll be totally good again. What idea do you have? You keep helping me out with my stories, I would love to be able to help you out with your's.

Based on Frozen Dream. Pagan heathen land of totemic spirits and debauchery, gods of the elements are invaded and co exist with a star faring psychic gondor civilization who pushes back the primal madness of the Garden of Elemental spirits

What's the level of civilization for the people living their? Tribal? Feudal? Is their technology level affected by the gods and magic? And are they any gods that want the humans to stay at a certain technology level? Or grow past it? And speaking of, how benevolent are the gods?

The Garden is weird. Divided into great farm Kingdoms of monster girls and boys feminized, dominated and domesticated. It is wild. Fedual. They use magic a and magic transformation ergo corruption a lot.

The Gods of the Garden are. They care only to be fed by sacrifice of will and others acting as their avatars of domination and predation.

The Gondor space knights have no God but do have strange obelisks that awoke their psionic potential and wield power crystals with a unified empire

Their society is under one ruler but carries many sub groups
Andy333
Andy333
How is that ruler chosen? Is their a vote? A high council? A magic ritual where they get judged by an important Obelisk and have to complete some kind of quest?
Bob is bob

A high council picks someone to be head executive by enduring the song of the obliseks for a whole night. The Star gondorians travel through their new home carefully. Treating the native sorcery as toxic and the breeding farms as insane

Psionics is will and focus. Sorcery is the planet's savage transformative power, mystic chaos

Any weapon differences and tactics between the two cultures? The psiconic's is making me think knights in heavy armor moving together almost like a roman legion. Pure will combined together, with pieces of their armor being chunks of the obelisks themselves to help act as a amplifier for their powers.

While the natives in the gardens sound like scantily clad, monstrously strong, monster girls that wouldn't look out of place in Conan.

And fae femboys able to be impregnated and paired with said monster girls. And I like that, the obliskes and crystals they grow are a important element of the Star Lords civilization. Should they have guns or nay?
Andy333
Andy333
Hmm guns in a fantasy setting are a bit controversial, I think's it easier to ask what kind of explosives they have access to and then decided from their if they should have guns. That's how it was in real life. it took people a few hundred years of experimenting with gun powder before they were able to do anything more than primitive grenades and cannons.

Could have psionic powers replace guns and crystal power armor ala stormlight. Psionic energy armor with iron man lasers
Andy333
Andy333
Funny enough it's metallurgy and precision engineering that's held back the development of guns. It was making metal strong enough to hold back the force of a bullet while at the same time accurate enough none of the pressure can escape.

How advanced our the stones knights engineering programs?
Bob is bob

They rely on the obliskes. This is to say my grasp and like of science worldbuilding is shit. Energy bows?
