I want the shock. The initial horror as this crash course in how fucking weird Vampires are. I feel ya on it being too harsh, but I do want a element of harshness as just the first step of the character realizing Vampires are far more strange than he thought and what he knows of her is but a small fraction, yet still have him commit to it and start training to join the Clan

Pretty good, I got the french dip. They have this special sauce which is like a spicy mayo I really like.

Now that I think about it. Brave knights getting knighted through blood and orgies. Maidens getting gang banged by their loving families, subs holding all the power while the doms bicker and fight. It really sounds like were subverting all the expectations of a fantasy setting.

That is the goal. I love gangbang corruption orgies, I love corruption into a slut, but dear fuck do I hate the tone. So we have a vampire female character who shows one side and hides most of herself while still being true in what she shows our sun knight, and he pines after her and accepts her offer to come join her in her home. Could have her inviting him to her home and slowly showing him how wild vampires are.

Question, if vampires, do need to drink blood. What if they hunt and drink and eat monster hearts for blood? Keeping the violence but having it so they ain't draining dry serfs.

I think that works. Although that ties into another pretty good question. How much blood do they need to drink? And how does it affect their ability to eat other foods and drinks?

Could be the stronger the vampire, the greater quality monster blood they need to drink.

Oh speaking of vampire lore, with their weakness to garlic. One of my favorite explanations for that and something I forget where i heard it from, is that their senses are so intensified and so much better that the smell makes them gag.

I also wouldn't be surprised if using the same weakness, the sun wizards used a spell that created a mini flashbang or a bright light to stun them.

That isn't a bad idea. I've been thinking on this as what parts of vampire lore do I want to use, what is esssentially vampire about them and how is that cool vs more general dark mage/demon knights?

Well its up to you. I think the idea's we've had could work for either or. Although you have been doing a lot of demons stuff lately, so vampires could be a nice change of pace.

The bloodthirst is essential to vampires and that can make for interesting blood magic being powered by consumed monster blood, so vampires need chaotic wildlands to feed from, or vampires drinking demon blood would be metal as fuck, mix of two?

Both could be fun. Maybe the demon blood is corrupting or drives them insane so they try to avoid it, despite how powerful it can make them.

So the strongest vampires devour the hearts of demons while lesser vampires consumed or bathe in the blood of great monsters. And this is the dark warlock magic.

So a king/greater vampire would need to devour the essence of say a dragon or such to achieve their power

I was thinking vampires avoid demons because of how corrupting it was, make it like the ultimate monkey's paw situation where you get limitless power for a time but go crazy. Although I do like the idea with the dragons.
