but with Chi warriors what I'm thinking is that major clans will either have sub clans that are formed with second or third son marry off and start their own families underneath the main one, or a lot of times when a minor clans gets beaten or gets vasselized by a stronger clan they'll sign a watered down version of the contrast ninja's too.

Yeah I want to intergate the spells into the martial arts. Stuff like flaming limbs, or transmuting aprt of your body into liquid so a persons kick just goes straight through you. I like that. To tie this in with Ninja, thanks to their insane healing and how intuned their body is with chi they can rebuild it from insane exersices much faster, and it lets them build up stupid amounts of raw power and stregth at the expense of making it alot harder for them to learn control over it.
