A country filled with disgruntled and angry war veterns that feel betrayed by their homeland makes a perfect start for a fascist regime more so than some violent civil war over who's stronger or weaker, plus it'll make Ominman and Superman's relationship more interesting.

Power wise, Viltrum is entirely dedicated to war and their entire culture is centered around it. Think sparta in that the kids get trained from an early age in centralize barracks with other kids, and encouragement and praise is centered around being the best. Except a big emphasis is put on loyalty to your family and your people, and that lying or cheating is never the way to win.

I do have an idea for Gotham and Batman. You like regular Batman or lean into the occult history of Gotham? Batman a supernatural ninja trained occultist detective dealing with weird supernatural crime. Joker a devil from hell, or ya like to keep it same old?

So like Spatra lots of mentor on student rape and grooming but less gay cause inter sex dorms.

So from the start a Viltrum is a much, much better fighter than a Krptonight and is much more experianced and able to deal with getting the shit kicked out of him. Plus Vilrum was much more willing to explore bioengineering and enhancements, especially after the plague, so they've got that advantage as well.

But to counter act that a little. Krypton has gods and magic while Viltrum doesn't and Viltrum has very little understanding on how to deal with any of that. Something that'll give superman an edge since he's the living avatar for the remianing power of these gods.

You might explore Viltrumites were experimented on to be physical tougher and stronger with literal killer instincts Implanted in their genes

I'm all for demigod Superman to explore the last son of Krypton label and give him more power variety

So Superman will be stronger than a Viltrum, but that viltrum can and will shrug off getting cut in half or having his skull caved in while Superman will have to heal with the sun for a couple months to do that. Plus a big thing is that viltrum's don't need the sun to be powerful. That's something unique to Superman since he's an avatar of the gods.

Viltrum is a horrific super warrior experiment and I prefer Superman needing solar healing. I'm seeing Viltruinites as the peak of kryptionain might. Stretching and modifying their physical abilities to the extreme of combat capacity

And again Superman has trained himself from birth to treat everything around him like cardboard, to be careful not to hurt or break everything around him which is the exact opposite of what the Viltrum have been trained to do from birth. lol. That pacifist approach is going to get Superman's shit kicked in atleast for the first couple rounds.

But the increased aggression and warlike instincts of Vilttrum made them prone to civil war and duals. Their physically ampped as fuck for combat and sex

Viltrum sacrificed their connection to the sun, symbolic since that's how kryptons define themselves, to be the ultiment warrior in terms of physical resilience. While Kryptons with their connection to the sun have powers like heat vision and other varied skills, at the sacrifice of being more brittle.

I wonder, pact with Ares or some war god?

And so here's an issue. Mark is genetically and possibly spiritually designed for carnage. Holding back lethal force is hard against opponents

But, he also's clashing with those human instincts not to kill. Make it an intresting internal conflict he's having about really liking fighting and killing while feeling guilty about it at the same time.

You can have a character arc of Nolan becoming protective of the younger heroes and how Viltrumite beliefs changed by time on earth has him take as a teacher role in the League he likes.

And power scale that needs to be adhered to. I love Batman but how is he relevant in the league

I always thought batman should be the guy in the chair directing teams of superhores and using that big brain of his instead of punching things. Make a character arc about slowly learning to be like Oracle and how you can do just as much good there then being on the ground.
