What I'm thinking is with cheeta being with Omniman, he understands those animalist desires and that feeling of wanting to fight and kill. While for Omniman he finally has someone on earth he can relate that side of himself too. For Hawk girl i think the alien traitor works great with omniman for obvious reasons, but also I think they have a similar humor and temperament.
