I'm not a hundred percent sure what Debbie's final role should be, but i do like the idea that she's the more pragamatic one in the relationship.

Like for example Omniman wants to inspire all the different countries on earth to unite together so they can fight the aliens, and he discovers a politician that has been doing some shady stuff and Debbie is the one to convince him to use it as blackmail to control him so they have a handy puppet rather than turn him in.

Its a nice way to show that yes Viltrum are blood thirsy warriors who can and will kill billions of people just to prove a point, but at the same time some of that more underhanded stuff their not as good at or atleast Omniman isn't. Plus again a great way to show how Debbie's morals are getting loosened as she justify's stuff like that with protecting her family and home.

I think Clark as the Last Son of Krypton with the backing of Rao is a large part of why Omi Man prepares to fight the empire and Batman using his rhetoric skills and tactical mind to convince Omi Man they have a chance. Batman using Mark and Debbie's safety being less in the Empire as a bargaining chip

I think another big reason why Omniman choices to defect is that the Justice league is just a whole lot more powerful than the knock off one in Invincible. Earth actually stands a pretty decent chance here of winning, even without Omniman helping.

I want debbie's corruption to be a little more slow burn. So she starts off as reguler house mom with only a few hints that somethings not right. Then her husband tells her the truth and she starts getting involved with his schemes to unite earth under one banner so they can fight back the aliens,
