What does each side want? Is the light still the protector of the innocent, basically knights that live to serve the people? I'm guessing with the ability to form relationships the sith will be less sociopathic, but do they still seek to take over and control everything?

Here's a question. Sith are about power, but why? What do Sith want power for? More power? Make them want slave harems, conquered enemies, daughters to raise and breed. Gratify the senses and ego. Have Jedi tied to empathy through the Force

Mmmh, I thin both are pretty cool. I like a lot of the idea's and concepts of the old republic, but I think seeing the fall of the republic and rise of the empire is better for stories because its a central ticking threat going on in the back ground. its give any stories set back then structure that the old republic lacks.

Yeah, i think fire works for the Sith although lighting is a lot cooler in my opnion. A dead mom working to seduce her son to the dark side is always fun, especially if you play up the almost split personalitly of having two different spirts sharing the same body.

With kung fu jedi, George was inspired by old samurai movies and flash gordan when he made star wars so its really just logical at this point. But you could also tie it in that the Jedi respond and feel the outside world while the sith are caught up in their minds and the indise one.

Jedi more tied to the Force around them, the flow of life and feelings while Sith focus inside for the rage and desire for power and the ambition and lust. The inner flame and storm. Give Jedi great sensory empathic powers.

Speaking of Palpatine, what do you think of the resident evil wizard. he fucked in canon, despite being an amoral psychopath that killed his family. Any changes or is he perfect as he is?

He's the ideal monster. Sith or Jedi, Palps would be terrible in both and that's why we love him

I remeber this one shot i found where Palps was a jedi instead of a sith and he did more damage to the galaxy than he ever did with the empire. it was really creepy. I'll have to look around for it.

Lore wise, the Jedi sith conflict, should it really be the dominating force of all star wars politics since the dawn of time? and with Sith lean hard into the slave harems and abuse of mind control and emotional force bonds. Play up the ancient warrior mystic sex cult aspect of Sith history

I always liked the idea that the jedi and the sith where ancient warrior groups/religious organizations rather than fully fledged empires. So they don't have the power to start wars or manipulate the republic over a thousand years or any bullshit like that, but they do have a lot of influence and especially in the old republic there where several conflicts over the role of jedi in their giverment.
