What kind of story do you want to tell with it? Just slice of life between the hentai family? Or do you want them to go to beacon? Or the family forming their own faction away from ozpin and Salem?

DC or Marvel? Tough question. I think DC is more timeless and has a lot less baggage than marvel. Like a great example with DC if you want to do a noir story you can just have Batman do his thing or a buddy cop movie in space you have the Green Lanterns, basically DC isn't as interconnected and messy as marvel so its a lot easier to have character's doing their own thing.

Plus DC has fictional citys to play around with while practically every Marvel propertity is set in new York. But also marvel does have more relatable and flawed heroes to work with which can be a good and bad thing.

A good example is how Reed Richards and Tony Stark are constantly bouncing back and forth between a good guy and a bad guy at this point. While anytime Superman or batman is evil its explicitly an else world story usually.

And for a worldbuilding exercise form his own faction. Have Tai Yang able to turn into a dragon. In fact, with Qrow, Ozpin is this immortal wizard knight. Why can't he do anything more for Raven and Qrow than make them crows? That is weak sauce.

If you want a big worldbuilding project. I know more of marvel than DC lore. A combined universe where powers cause porn corruption and characters are fighting over if they choose to embrace the abuse that corruption provides over earth or deny the temptation.

Don't know how good I am at world building a whole universe, I'm much better at character driven stuff but I could take a crack at it. What idea's do you have?

The Marvel would be a combined porn verse where powers bring with them body changes and mental corruption that will turn people into pleasure and fetish focused parodies of themselves.

Dividing the heroes and villains of Marvel along the lines of do they rule as superpowered sex gods or try to act with responsibility.

The RWBY one Is more clear. Tai Yang sick of Ozpin's game and using the power given by Ozpin to form his own faction while having the passions and mindset of a dragon

So are all males turned into grim or just select few? And how did that even work, some kind of virus salem unleashed? Make it to where the god of darkness left around a bunch of grim pool in the back ground slowly corrupting everything around them?

Hoe about male and female Were Grimm from the start leading the Grimm Hordes or allowed in supervision to be part of the Kingdoms? Or better replace all Grimm with were Grimm. Add some drama

How sentient are these human grimm? Just uncontrollable during certain times of the month like a were wolf? Normal person with just extreme emotions? Programming and deep seated desire to conquer and control everything? Because dependent on which of these options is going to decide how well intergrated and accepted they are by human civilizations.

Well if reguler mindless grimm are still a thing, then while they'll definitely be discriminated against and probably sectioned off in their own little ghetto's away from normal humans, their combat abilites, regeneration, and ability to stay undetected by other grim will make them too much of an asset not for humans to atleast try to work with them.

Could make for an intresting story of a down on his luck grimm boy fighting his insticts and trying to be a great hero despite the discrimination he face's all at beacon academy where he can earn himself a harem of all the RWBY girls. maybe make his mom a human for some extra drama as his love for her fights with his need to conquer her.
