Questionable Questing

Shit, sorry. I mentioned yesterday I had an interview and went house hunting. Both went pretty good, but I was really tired by tired by the time I got back and home took a long nap for awhile after dinner. lol

But I actully have a bit of dilemma. So the job interview went pretty decent, I think the guy liked me well enough, but there's some problem. So it would be a manager postion dealing with maintenance for a rehab center, along with a couple outerlying facilities. Stuff like a couple group homes and out-patient care along with the main in-patient facility.

And this is is a issue cause?

So basically the same stuff i would be doing before. The way the guy describe it is the more stuff I can fix the less money the company needs to spend on outside contractors who are expensive and unreliable. And that's where the issues start. They originally had a team of four to handle a facility filled with a couple hudred people and their at full capacity ninety percent of the time.

So again this is a rehab, most of the people have some issuses and are court ordered to be here. Police show up often and the clients can be diffuclt. And that four man team of maintenance, one was fired a couple weeks ago, one just put in his two weeks notice a couple days ago, and the last one is useless and unfireable.

They want you to do a job that takes four fucking people. That sounds like you need a team for yourself

I asked the manager what he was skilled at and he said being a gopher for more experianced tech's. And me trying to be hopeful asked if he could do drywall and painting and the guy said sometimes. Lol, but like I said he's unfireable because his grandma owns the company and I'm guessing shoved her useless grandson in a postion in the compnay that wasn't considered important.

So bascially, I'm being asked to act as a manager through a whole rebuilding proccess. The company is getting new management or their some background policy changes being made and the whole maintenance and potentially logistic's team is getting gutted and rebuilt, and in the mean time they need someone who can get hired immediately, start fixing things, and start building that team up.

Does he at least try to be helpful and not a prick?

Yeah, I would love to talk were grimm that sounds pretty fun. But the good knews is the guy I was talking too was aware of just how bad things were and was willing to do a lot to get it fixed and really work with me.

And here's the kicker, the last maintenance manager who was fired was getting paid 21 an hour and the logistic's head is really butting heads with the board to try and get the new maintenance manager paid up to 29 an hour to try to get someone really good. Now I don't think I'll get 29, but there's a good chance I could get 24 or 25.

So not only would I get a supervisor position on my resume which will look really good and I'll be getting paid pretty good money, but since this is a rebuild it'll give me a lot of time and leeyway to really grow into my role. The only problem is for the next several months I will be doing damage control and running myself ragged trying to maintain the four different facilities.

And while I don't like playing poltics and would much rather just be fixing things, if their doing a total rebuild like this then there's probably going to be some pressure up top as the company tries to adjust and figure out how this new maintenance department is going to look and function like.

I say give it a shot while making it clear to the guy that you will put your best in, but you expect him to not leave you to hold the bag.

Thanks for the advice. I won't know if I'll get the job or not until monday, but if I do I'll tell the guy that I'll try my best but I'm not a mircle worker. So were grimm is it a infection like a vampire or a plague? Is it a ritual maintined by secret werewolf tribes? Is their just lying puddles of grimm goo leeching out into the enviorment twisting and mutating anything it touches?

The plot I thought of was Taiyang after losing Summer also loses the Aura supply to balance his Grimm Darkness, ichor we'll call it and kidnaps Ruby and Yang. Raising them with Aura but keeping training and teaching them to be his harem wives and stay near their father who loves and needs them.

His humanity cracked when he lost Summer and he finds Raven and destroys her to reclaim her. Qrow been searching for the girls for years while Tai grew into a dragon Grimm alpha. My advice is basic but its good to establish that idea so he can't say later you acted too confidant.
