Not bad. Doing more on the warcraft AU and the importance of battle magic development

Battle magic sounds fun. I think it would be really cool to see how magic would change the strategies of war. I mean gun powder and canons, caused castles to change shape, created whole brand new units, complicated logistics, I could only imagine what a wizard capable of launching fire balls or creating rain would effect a campaign.

Battle magic in this AU was discouraged by the church of light of the eastern kingdoms for hundreds of years because of the destruction it brought during the troll wars when a hundred arcane trained battle mages made a giant glass crater of a troll army.

The invasion of the orcish because of this reluctance to practice battle magic means the orc warlocks and necrolyte shadow casters face sports dualing magicans and schollar wizards. The forces of the eastern kingdoms are slaughtred in the first half of the war as they have no true battle mages.

Only the ancient high elves retain knowledge of battle magic and are called in to teach the human mages, but this will have consquences after the first and second war of the dark portal as the main tradition of magic for creativity and knowledge hates this development

Well an invasion by interdimensional beings definitively is a good excuse to learn battle magic, but I have a funny feeling its not going away any time soon this time around.

It isn't and the light church hates it. There's now a split between the main mage city dalran between traditional mages focused on creative applications and battle mages of the first and second wars. There is a rise in shamans and druids of the old faiths organizing after helping fight off the Horde and they too are using battle magic. Many a priest weeps for the evils they fear will come of this new world

Can't put the genie back in the bottle after everything that's happened. And how has the war gone? Have you gotten that far? I know little bit about it. How orc's came over through a portal from their home planet, which was dying from a secret demon that was using the orc as shock troopers and through a combination of mind magic that made them insane and a culture obsessed with war was able to control them.

Then the demon died I think in the first war and suddenly the orc's where free to experience emotions and be normal, but do to the scars of the last war it was inevitable to start up again and again, for all of eternity because warcraft is a franchise and nothing is more interesting in a dying franchise than a big ass war.

They commited mass genocide on almost every other race on their planet that didn't join them and opened said portal by using the last remains of the dranie prisoners they had with mass sacrifice rituals. The horde is really fucking bad. And in general, the first war which is three years doesn't go well.

The capital of one of the human kingdoms of stormwind is burnt to the ground. The second war battle magic starts to really develop, in canon paladins are founded, shamans and druids start to rally and call on the wild gods and elemental spirits to attack the foe and priests of shadow invoke gods of death and ghosts to war against the orcs.

Warlocks through studying orcish witchcraft learn of fell magics and use it to bring ruin and death to the invaders. Shit starts going bad for the horde. The human eastern kingdoms also more fully unit into a Alliance with the elves and dwarves and gnomes to combine their armies

Well damn, how did the Orc's not get genocided after all that. Sounds like their about to get a pretty big ass whooping and unlike the rest of the kingdoms they don't have a homeland to really rebuild from.

The high archbishiop of the light in canon and a sympathetic king begged the other kings not to kill them all and they got put into internment camps. Here, it is going to be more complex in this AU

Hey, how are you? What's been going on? Sorry I couldn't talk yesterday, just been really tired from work. It's a hundred and ten degrees out and the ac is barely chugging along, so we've been super busy with emergency repairs and trying to figure everything out in between.

The new supervisor, came in yesterday and he's been pretty nice. So that's been good. He has twenty years in hotel and resort maintenance so knows what he's doing too. So I really do think we have a pretty good team right now, its just getting caught up and dealing with the ac problems before it can get better.

You bring water and such with you to keep hydrated and good that the superverisor ain't a dink
