Questionable Questing

We have a mechanical room where a bunch of our AC's are set up and the condensate line for them had clogged up. If you don't know what that is a AC create a lot of water because the refrigerant inside them regularly goes below 34 degrees so kind of like ice water condensing you have to drain away that water that builds up. Or it'll get everywhere and make people think you have a leak.

Anyway I used a co2 canister to blow it out and then poked around for anything else with a sink snake. Really, really gross. The dust from the ac mixed with the water and made this mud crap that I had too scoop out from the pan. But its fixed and I got two hours of over time for it. So yay, I guess. Lol. To be honest I would've rather taken the free time, but an emergency is an emergency.

A paragraph and two. Magic system wise want armies fighting but a focus on mage lords battling it out as the center of any battlefield

How wide spread is magic? And what kind of power scaling are we looking at?

A common social aspect and used for lesser charms with troops but on a civilian scale its treated as a useful practice but nothing earth shattering. Greater magic can devastate but not obliterate armies and wreck city blocks. You also have the years of purification and disciple for the Golden Arts. The order magic vs the try not to die for the Black Flame sorcery of the Awoken warlocks and witches

Then from what I'm hearing mages are seen as mobile artillery pieces, something power and devastating but should be protected and carefully managed since their very difficult to replace. They are mainly in the back line to shoot from afar and only pulled out in a decisive moment when you need a chunk of the enemy army tied down or obliterated.

And during sieges while also wearing down the enemies castles, they can also be used a battering rams to act as the tip of the spear into the castle again in a risky maneuver that risks losing your mage.

I like the idea of mages as living weapons but I aim for more knights and elite warrior mages in the vanguard or acting as a champion. I'd compare Golden Art better name pending to paladin sorcerers while the Soulfire demon possessed are berserker wizards

Are their any knightly orders? That could be a cool concept almost like jedi in that you have private knightly groups that swear off earthly pleasures and seek enlightenment and purification by helping the weak and weary.

I like this concept. Not sure on the enlightenment and swearing off earthly pleasures. More stotic.

Could also be a good source of conflict in that you have some knights that want to help the mc, maybe his father or one of his ancestors was apart of these knights, but do to the politics's the order their from doesn't sanction their involvement and so they are limited in the aid they can provide.

Maybe the MC looked up to these knights and their refusal to help could effect him emotionally. Add more heartbreak to his eventual downward spiral.

He wanted to be a knight like his mom and sisters and that dream failed as he was unable to follow the Law. The regime of rituals and practice to be Avanatie

Well there you go, not only was he denied his dream, but when it came time for those same nights to be the big bad heroes he dreamed off they stood of to the side and gave him and his family empty platitudes. Makes that limitless power by being unchained look mighty tempting.

I'd have some reject him while others don't and it's really a matter of that intense control and submission to restriction on power is something he can't feel. His personality though he denies it doesn't want that. It wants the chaotic freedom of soul flame
