We'll again, Alex starts off about as rough if not more than Vicky at the start of Worm. So tries not to kill anyone but can and will beat the absolute crap out of them to the point of breaking bones and fucking them up pretty bad. But by the time Bakuda rolls in, he still won't be going out of his way to kill, but he will take the path of least Resistance if that makes sense.

Alex even in the beginning is perfectly willing to kill. Seeing the aftermath of what Fleur's death did to his family kind of killed whatever naive heroism he had before. Its just at least in the beginning he tries not to do it and hides how he really feels about villains from his family.

And between Carol and Vicky, again Carol's the head honcho of the harem just below Alex and in the beginning Vicky's kind of in a weird spot. On one hand she does have a crush on her family and won't tell anyone what's going on between them, but on the other hand she's one of the least affected by Alex's power and is trying to move on and in her words live a normal life.

She's in a on and off relationship with Alex and Dean right now. As she keeps trying to leave the oppressive pull of her family and find other people to fill the void but can't help and come back every time. She's going to have a bit of character arc were she fully embraces her role and her fucked up family and when that happens she becomes the number two under Carol.
