Especially after Mercury figures out Jaune's healing powers mixed with Salem's could potentially give him his arms and legs back.

If Cinder and Emarlad got adopted into the family early in this AU, Mercury too was grabbed and Salem didn't want a rival to Jaune so she raised him into a femboy. I'm thinking everyone joins Salem earlier than cannon.

Doctor Watt's, did we ever get a satisfying answer to why he joined up with Salem? I know he said it was because he thought fighting her would doom humanity with how powerful she was, but that just seems really underwhelming.

Envy of Penny's dad?

Maybe. I could do a backstory where Watt's research was undercut out from underneath him as it all went to Penny's dad and also make it a matter of pride since Penny's dad was his former student. So not only losing his job and position but towards someone he taught would make anyone pretty bitter.

Could have Watt's become obsessed with making his own robot and end up with 2B with Neir and her enormous ass to add towards Jaune's harem.

While keeping Penny's dad a good guy and Femboy Mercury is Cinder and Salem offering him sex and love but while changing him and increasing his focus on Jaune as future head of the family

I wouldn't say they've become good people, their all still pretty fucking ruthless, but by having a family and loving each other, they are all much better people than they are in canon.

They've moved from destroy the world to Salem's steal it from the Gods and rule as new royal family

So Midnight has her magic gas that makes you sleep and a little happy correct? Well how she can train it is two ways. The first was is the standard make as much as possible as fast as possible and by doing that she improves her performance with the gas, but how does she make it stronger?

Well she is obviously immune to her own gas, just one of few secondary mutations her quirks came with, but with the help of a I-Island scientist friend, she was able to recreate her gas and even make it stronger with a few additives which after she was exposed to her body created immunities to it and her gas became even stronger in response.

Lust gas?

So a way for her to train is to huff this special mixture over time upping the dosage and getting stronger. Just one problem that symptom of euphoria the gas causes, one or two doses doesn't cause addiction but if you do every week or every day, then suddenly it becomes an addiction. You get where this is going?

For awhile I struggled for Midnight's backstory because I needed a good reason for why she became a teacher and why she's suddenly really insecure about her age and her legacy, and my idea I had is that she got hurt and instead of going to the hospital and getting the surgery she needed, afraid of losing her standing in a career that was stalling out, she started self medicating with this gas.

Using training as an excuse, she was able to justify for awhile but then one day she almost got a civilian hurt because she was being careless and high, and in response she went cold turkey and had bit of a personal crisis over it, eventually getting invited to be a teacher at UA by her friend Aziawa where she regained her confidence in how much she enjoyed working with kids.

So does she self buff with the gas kr just make it more powerful or change its effect?

I'm thinking in the beginning it'll just make her stronger, but I'll give the readers a choice to have it modified and from there I'll have her quirk start mutating in response.
