Questionable Questing

I'm excited for it. Anyway I'm getting some sleep. Hopefully I should be a hundred percent by tomorrow. And glad you liked my Kali idea's.

I sleep. I will talk of the kali idea more and greater plot

Tonight I'm editing Jackal's thing but later would talk Cyberpunk story and if you wanted to make it a original setting. Love the demon bimbo hellraiser concept

I was actually writing on it today, funny enough. A big thing that's holding me back is that I don't know enough about the setting. I might poke around and see if there's any free PDF rule books floating around later.

Heyo. Done editing. And I was thinking a original setting would free you if your okay with losing fandom readership

I mean I like some of the characters. David's desperation to succeed to make his mom's sacrifices worth it. His mom making these sacrifices to try and make sure her son never has to go through what she did, combing together to make a tragic path for both.

And of course the cyber loli Rebecca is best girl. But then again, a lot of these character ares arc types that could easily be copy pasted over into any number of settings and still make perfect sense.

You want scifi or fantasy or anime power land?

And best girl is Lucy for how tragic her inner weakness is beneath the cool badass thrill seeker

Defiantly sci fi, a lot of the fun is seeing character's who aren't religious and live in a society that's competently rejected even basic human decency, being forced to deal with the supernatural.

What would you like for scifi? Any inspirations?
Andy333

Not only just the personal and philosophical questions it would raise, but also each character trying to approach the cenobites and the box as if it's a science experiment they can understand and control given enough time also gives me more leyway for them to get corrupted, where other character's in other settings would've run away the minute eldritch abominations started to get mixed in.

As for sci fi, I want to keep the cyber punk elements. I just don't want to be forced by the setting along a certain path, you know? Because the minute the cenobite weirdness starts going around, then the corpos and bigger gangs are eventually going to get involved, and while showing the Arasaka family drama as they deal with something they can't control could be fun.

Cyberpunk and what else in Scifi grabs your mind for awesome or fun?

I don't want it to distract the story I'm trying to tell. I don't want to have to spend chapters dedicated to Araska's response and then politic's surrounding it and how other corpo's respond. That's the problem with the setting, there's a lot of intertwined pieces and the minute you throw something new in it all explodes. Doesn't give you a lot of room to breath.

Ah. So you want to make something yourself. How about a women given a chance to run a hospital on a isolated new plantary colony only to find a temple and the puzzle's symbols and in translating them she activates it and opens the gates of hell to swallow the colony whole with her at the head.
Andy333
Andy333
As for other settings? I like the mad max/fallout vibes in the wastelands around the city in some of the earlier Cyberpunk booklets. I love Judge Dredd and the contrast of super advanced technology and ruthless efficiency clashing with crumbling infrastructure and corruption.

Abandoned planet colony gone lawless and our milf protag trying to survive and be the one good medical professional while her son falls into pitfighting and dangerous cybernetic augments.

I also like those old survival books. Robinson Crusoe, The Swiss Family Robinson. And I really like it when sci-fi settings take that old times view of shipping and applies it to space.
Andy333

Stuff like traveling between colonies taking months. Ships that are falling apart and communications extremely difficult. Distant colonies that have to survive with little contact back to earth in inhospitable environments.
