I have been on a loosing with some wins streak for Magic Arena Online. As you go higher in the rankings for the month you start to leave the sweet spot of difficult in a way that is fun and enter die motherfucker die stress. Where every match is a brutal brawl and bloody knife fight.

Another idea for Vilturmites I have is exploring their inhumanity through size and muscle. You can make Mark and Nolan massive. Nolan's daughters turning into amazons, and the way the joints move. Unnatural, predatory. Make Mark noticeably titanic to further distance him from normal and contrast to Clark who isn't that. He has normal muscle mass and definition.

Kara's a pretty fun character. Cheerful bubbly personality on the surface, hiding a war scared refugee trying and failing to fit in normal human society. Which actually reminds me, I've been watching a lot of Terminator lately for some inspiration for the Viltrum Martial arts. The first two movies especially, they went out of their way to show how heavy and powerful these machines where.

It helped that Arnold's a fucking huge guy, but in a lot of fight scene they'll have the actors crashing through walls, punches that'll break rocks and bend metal. They used realistic sounding guns, so when you saw the terminator get shot and not even flinched it made them seem a lot more powerful. Plus they have very stiff, almost akward way of moving. Almost as if they have to visibly think before they do anything.

Terminator for Viltrumite martial arts. I got to hear this. I said Power Girl, who is the clone. Or something.

Its given me a lot of idea's on how to really sell just how strong Viltrum's are.

Stiff and awkward isn't what I'd describe Viltrumites as but sharp and riged attacks with very directe lines of force do.

Less flying fast make things go boom. More shockwaves, earthquakes, massive craters and demolished bodies and buildings. Wreck the fucking landscape apart.

The video ahead is a perfect example of some of the stuff I really liked. Robert Patrick, the actor for the t-1000 actually trained himself not to flinch when he fired a gun or blink in any of his scenes. Also love how when their fighting each other, they're equally strong so they have to resort to throwing each other against stuff or guns to try and even the odds.

I like the viltrum's being very visibly alien, even if on the surface they look human.

Super strength is underated as a power. You focus on the unstoppable physical force. You can cut, burn, freeze, hit, stab and wound Mark and he keeps fighting. And he beats people to death. Smashes them against the ground, tears out their organs, pummels their body and face. All the different ways to rip and break and strike

Also, imagine the seismic forces tearing through the ground or the colossal shockwaves from Viltrumite combat.
