Still don't know how I should handle Debbie and Nolan's relationship at this point. It's really easy to scoff at the Viltrum empire offering medical technology hundreds of years in the future as something not worth trading away your freedom for, when you don't have a son, a wife, or a dad dying of cancer in the other room. It's the same with any technology really. Freedom's a lot more valuable when you have a steady supply of food and how much of Earth has that.

That's the funny thing. Thragg's going to go for the diplomatic approach at first and while the First World will deny it without any hesitation, the rest of the planet? Won't matter much at first since the Justice League is going to charge onward to fight the invaders regardless of the politics, but after the war a lot of questions are going to be asked.

Since they don't really fully beat the Viltrum's they just kind of inspire a coup taking advantage of the fact Nolan's the lost heir. Which means earth doesn't have a triumphant image of the Viltrum's running away in fear or being locked up for their trouble after tens or even hundreds of thousands of dead. They just have a sticky compromise that satisfies no one.

I'm turning with the show to having Anisa marry Mark as a diplomatic defeat from the viltrumites. Reverse canon. Mark raped and beat Anisa over the course of the war and made her mind broken over it as time went on

Anisa is actually a really fun character, she just got a lot of flack and was kind of pushed to the side unfortunately because of how readers responded to the rape.

Maybe. I kind of like the idea that she just challenges him to a duel, he wins, and then she spreads her legs for him afterwards and is surprised when he doesn't fuck her right there and then. With Mark explaining he usually has to do a little more foreplay before his partners are willing, Anise then explaining back to him fighting is foreplay for Viltrum.
