Questionable Questing

That's a really good idea. I was going to go for wards and runes that could channel it away or even towards other emotions and alignments, and an entire board or government agencies whose job it is to not only administer and upkeep these runes in important places but also investigate unregulated uses of them could be a lot of fun.

Anyway sleep time. Lots of stuff tomorrow, here's a preemptive happy Thanksgiving. But lots of fun ideas. I'm really liking how Jane's character arc is finally getting settled.

Not bad. Me and my grandmaw and the dog and my disabled aunt. Ate some good food with turkey and got mega shitfaced last night at work party potluck. Very fun time. We played a quiz game and I yelled ireland when it was asked what the emarlead isles are called.

Cool. I went to Cracker barrel with my Aunt, was super crowded, it took like thirty minutes to get seated even after getting reservations online. But the food was decent and I had a pretty fun time.

Well I told you I was checking out Persona and Silent Hill again. Seeing how well they hold up and if it's just nostalgia talking, and both do hold up really well. I like HOI4 which is a WW2 strategy game from paradox and they had a pretty good DLC recently. Same with Factorio. Been watching the Sopranos a lot too.

Trying to see how difficult it would be to get my hands on some old Ratchet and Clank games as well as Little big Planet, which were some other games I loved from my childhood.

Any ideas from the Sopranos for something and I was Jak and Daxter two. Never played one or three. Really liked 2 for the PS2
Andy333
Andy333
No ideas from the Sopranos, but I do love how almost real to life it feels at times. I mean yeah you have the mob stuff and the constant death or betrayal, but then you get scenes where Tony and his wife argue about getting the right kind of orange juice or him and his sister laughing at old family stories.

It doesn't hurt that most of the actors were hysterical and some of the lines still just crack me up thinking about them. Uncle Junior especially. "Didn't he almost drown in several inches of water?"

How is the show's ratio of violence to everyday life events?
Andy333
Andy333
It's a mixed bag. Obviously it has season finales where it ramps everything up and especially season six when there's the whole war between the families, you have a whole bunch of deaths, but for the most part it's pretty tame. But again the big thing is that the whole mob thing really leaks into everything else. A misplaced joke at a party almost leads to a killing.

Tony takes his daughter to tour some schools, while being followed unknowingly by the Fed's. Carmela, uses her husband's position to threaten a principal to allow her kids into the school. A normal enough business deal goes south and the loss of money causes tensions to flare up and threats to be made. They do a pretty good job of just showing how stressful this whole lifestyle is.

Mob life isn't fun. Its dangerous and a threat to just living your day to day with your family and friends.

It really just gets sad at the end, how many funerals they are going to and how quickly people abandon literal life long friendship and family members just to make a quick buck. The betrayal isn't even done in a smart or sophisticated ways, it's just thugs killing people violently and using the mob as a shield to pretends it deeper than that.
