Our dogs are fine, what ended up happening is my aunt wanted to get a new one. And we've been talking about this for awhile, Buster the oldest one is twelve so really starting to get up there in years and the idea was to get a third one since Becket the younger one has never really by himself before, so the idea was to get Becket settled in with a new brother before Buster was gone.

Anyway, the lady my aunt was talking to turned out to be a scam. After sending her two hundred dollars as a deposit, with the other two hundred to be paid in person after an hour drive to go pick up the new dog, we get a call a day or two before saying how apparently this ladies husband had a brain tumor and needed to be rushed to the hospital and the deal had to be cut off.

But fortunately, she had called a moving company who could handle the whole situation and here's their number so they can call you and work out the details. Now at this point we're both pretty sure it was a scam.The picture she sent of her husband in the hospital looked very fake and her Facebook page where she sold the puppies look suspicious.

But no harm in hearing out what the moving company said, right? Well, they called us and said they needed 1,200 dollars to rent out a specifically designed crate that could maintain the perfect temperature to handle moving a puppy on a plane ride, and of course not to worry because as soon as the order was done they'll refund us the money. Oh and no paperwork is necessary, just wire us the cash.

Oh and didn't I mention my aunt was taking the day off today to go pick the dog up since it was only like an hour or two away? They didn't mention the need for a plane, or an environmentally secure crate to transport the dog. lol. So of course we called them out on it and said we already wasted two hundred dollars on this shitshow, and they've wisely haven't talked to us since.

But really at this point I'm more pissed off that they got greedy and decided to make up something as stupid as this whole situation to try and get more money. I mean if you're going to scam people at least have a believable lie, you know?

But, my aunt was pretty beat up about it, especially since she lost some money and had already scheduled a vacation from work to handle the whole thing, so movies and pizza for her day off to try and cheer her up.
