Basically when Danny was in the accident, his main thought was making sure his friends got out in time. He unknowingly died, even if for a brief few seconds, focused entirely on protecting his friends. So that's what his ghost became. A protector, a hero, but while on the surface an obsession with protecting people can be seen as good, it doesn't take a lot for it to go too far.

Bad End Heroine rescue pack. It was a CHYOA that came out a while back, where you take popular waifu's dealing with some variant of bad hentai ending and you give them a good one. I mean the comic's did the whole Multiverse crap too, with alternate versions of Invincible invading, which was really fucking stupid. Everyone disliked it even back then. But the comic's were smart enough not to give them any personality or drag it out. They just killed them all off all at once and moved on like it never happened.
