Sure. I remember how quickly mine was solved in my quest. lol. But my big question is why haven't the Frey reached out to Hurrik yet? They aren't stupid and they certainly aren't suicidal. They know that going against him is political suicide. I mean Hurrik can humble brag all he wants about being a lowly bastard but nobody else sees it that way.

His queen mom dotes on him, he has close friendships with the sons of multiple lord Paramount's, is openly acknowledged as part of the family by the Targ clique, and can call down Ned Stark and his Tully wife with the snap of his fingers. Now obviously Hurrik has made it clear he wants to establish himself and this little feud is well beyond needing any of the people involved. But the fact Hurrik has it...

Pride and it is a private affair. Hurik is in a powerful but limited condition as the queen's favorite son. The Throne could swing for him, but it would start to bash against the rights of lords in private matters. Robert won the Seven Kingdoms by overthrowing a tyrant.

But you see what I mean. Why would the Frey's take that risk. Even if they don't think he'll use it, Hurrik still has connections and influence all across the seven kingdoms even before you start talking about his magical prowess. So why hasn't the Frey's sent someone to butter him up and try to get them on their side before the Cragonmen can take advantage of their relationship with Ned to do so.

Its what they built their PR on. Hurik wanting to open a new trade route for Moat Calin to replace the Frey's isn't a matter of justice. This is a dispute over money. The throne doesn't have the leverage to make an argument they can do anything.

And consider another part, if Lord Frey lets Hurik get away with doing this just because he is the queen's son, that sets a precedent for royal authority superseding the privileges of Houses. Frey's toil has history behind it and he knows it.

The cragonmen got to Hurik first and I remember there was I think a Frey rep who tried to talk to hurik before he chose to side with House Reed and Hurik because of players went Reed.

The crown doesn't need to wave it's dick around to make the Frey's lose. All it needs to do is loan Hurrik some money, pull some strings to get a team of magic users out there, and boom you have a brand new bride built in a couple of weeks. Once a bride is built that's game over for the Frey's. Sure they can dispute it, but Lords are allowed to build infrastructure in their own land.

They're not going to allow the Frey's to mess with the laws that could restrict their powers over their own lands. It's more castles and other defensive things of that nature or cities and towns charters that require the crowns approval. But I see what your saying. The Frey's know this and are desperately trying to stop it no matter what.
