The question for a corruption story is how she makes others feel about each other. How she warps and guides their desires. With her it has to be overwhelming love radiating from her. She doesn't force or blackmail or hurt anybody into it. She pushes them to be the most happy and do whatever, knowing she will love and accept them. Everyone fucks each other in the orgy picking their prefered partners and breeding them

Went out and saw a movie today. I know I'm always watching movies, but that's kind of my thing. lol. It was called the Amateur and was your stereotypical spy movie. CIA member, whose wife died under mysterious circumstances, causing him to go down a path of revenge slowly uncovering a secret network with ties directly to the US government. All the while being hunted down by a fellow agent.

But this was one was so much more subtle and low key, and that's what made it special. The MC, played by Rami, is a computer analyst and a bit of a nerd. He doesn't fight bad guys directly and never kills any of them by shooting a gun. He's very smart and methodical, but he wins by using traps. Plus they also really explore his grief and really show how directionless his quest for vengeance really is.

I also love how all the side characters, and even the main villains, all fully understand why he's doing what he's doing and at multiple times empathize and try to talk him down. His wife's death in the first place was literally a wrong place, wrong time situation, and everyone involved in the murder didn't even know or remember who she was until he brings it up.

Interesting. Not my preference with my love of direct action but cool to see how the plots fall into place. The part about exploring how bad vengeance is while doing a glorifying of badass violence. A timeless paradox, and we can discuss heavenly violence tonight with Vagatha

What's also really interesting is that in the end the MC has the gun at the main bad guy's head after working through his entire network, and instead of killing him he gets him arrested. All to make sure that entire system he's behind, which is also secretly doing the dirty work for a rogue CIA head, goes down. One of the few Taken style movies where the MC chooses to walk away from his revenge.

Does it make this choice make sense?

Yeah, it makes sense in the story. He accidently got a close friend killed with his little adventure, someone who had also lost a spouse and was the only person able to get the MC to really open up and talk about everything that had happened. And the MC got his moment to see the main villain terrified for his life, the same way his wife was, which was enough for him.

Plus of course the guy spending the rest of his life in jail along with the opportunity to also take down the corrupt CIA head, who was the one who killed his friend.
