Apparently right next door a couple of guys got into an argument and both brought out guns. Makes sense character bloat is not fun to play with. It's why I'm going with an outsider's perspective with Charlie and her 60 kids, since not only does it let me drip feed Charlies backstory which will be one of the more interesting parts of the fic, but it'll let me only introduce the kids that matter and in space it out in such a way to keep it from getting overwhelming.

I think what helps is that I went through a phase where I was pretty insecure about what kind of idea I was even making.
