Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
Oh shoot, I had a brain fart. Sorry I'm kind of tired today, the puppy was being very energetic earlier this evening we had a bunch of cops cars literally outside the door. Apparently right next door a couple of guys got into an argument and both brought out guns. Nobody was shot or arrested, thankfully, but it meant a whole bunch of police showed up later to talk to everyone involved.
I was mistaking Kelsey with the girl Hurrik and his little adventuring party, who actually included Kelsey now that I think about it, saved in the very beginning.
I'm going to have her pop up later as a customize character from scratch and after that well they will have Melony, Ygrite, Kelsey, and Pretty with Pretty given a new name. The story will not be able to sustain another harem member as there is already Lyanna in there
Makes sense character bloat is not fun to play with. It's why I'm going with an outsider's perspective with Charlie and her 60 kids, since not only does it let me drip feed Charlies backstory which will be one of the more interesting parts of the fic, but it'll let me only introduce the kids that matter and in space it out in such a way to keep it from getting overwhelming.
I'm shocked you're able to keep track of all the different houses and relations they have with each other so well. I remember when I was writing that Cersei quest, I was flipping through the ASOIAF wiki every single time. lol.
Mya Stone, that one dragonseed girl Robert has, the daughter of that big titty mother. The three bastard daughters of Wylla who Kelsey is one. Cassana and Lyrra the daughters of Lyanna, Steffon the youngest son but heir to the throne.
Don't forget all the Targs, Ned Stark and his growing family whose kids are also starting to get married, the Frey's since you're dealing with their drama right now, Cersei and Stannis and their kids along with the whole Lannister clan. I've barely scratched the surface and my head already hurts. lol.
But I actually got a good feeling about this Charlie one. it's not fighting me so much if that makes any sense? Plus I genuinely am really starting to get in the habit of writing.
I think what helps is that I went through a phase where I was pretty insecure about what kind of idea I was even making. I really wanted it to be one with mass appeal and that could have a good fanbase. Even asking myself before I would start if it was attached to anything popular. But with this Charlie one, I'm just not giving a fuck. Either people like Historical fiction or not and I don't care either way.
Great. Than we talk urban fantasy inspirations for you. For one, lets try to make something unique and not the same cookie cutter shit everyone does with urban fantasy every time
Well tying in with that one idea I told you about Earth having these natural magical key lines, to tie in with that, there's no wands or waving your hands to summon magic. To make magic you have to first properly consecrate the ground or the building, which is a very specific process of etching in runes and symbols in such a way to match these natural Leylines.
This is proper magical lore I like. Reminds me of colored lands in Magic the Gathering. Can you aspect these places of power to different magical forces and energies?
Then using blood, crystals, and other magically reactive regents you can then use these rune circles to apply various effects to the surrounding area or enchant objects. With the more time you give to a rune circle to settle, and the deeper and more runes you etch in basically over time it gets stronger to the point of physically and spiritually warping the region around you with the effects you want.
With these different effects being like inspiring growth which will cause plants to go wild and people to automatically heal inside, or summoning darkness which will create never ending hallways and traps all throughout the house. Basically the aspect you choose will have negative and positive attributes it'll apply and a big part about setting these runes up is balancing those effects so they don't go crazy.
