Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
With the core conflict being Charlie's desire to become powerful enough to save everyone, versus the pursuit of power is inherently corruptive and will hurt people. Its threading the line and seeing how this will shape Charlie and which side, angels or demons, she ends up at in the end.
The first arc is the Reporter meeting Charlie, falling in love, and slowly untangling her messy back story. Broken up by a few flashbacks and the occasional introduction to important characters moving forward. It's what i'm calling the exposition phase. There's a lot of stuff going on and I need someone as clueless as the audience to slowly introduce everyone.
With on a more thematic level like I mentioned before, the reporter is like a mini Steve Rogers without the serum. Very moral and has a hidden will power, but also very shy and a little naive. He represents the version of Charlie before she was summoned to earth and how she would respond to the person she's become.
For Charlie's home, she has several and she doesn't introduce him to the main one just yet. She kind of wants to slowly warm him up to the idea. Instead having him stay in her London's house with the twins, with the idea of slowly introducing all her kids and husband as well as the paranormal world over a period of a year or two.
Which neatly gives me time to provide the readers exposition and not just dump dozens of Charlie's kids on their lap all at once. lol. But onto the Pirate, I'm debating between going full Davy Jones with it, maybe something Aztec themed to show the trauma he deals with from his conquistador days, or potentially even a Spanish Folklore monster like Siguanaba
Paranormal is semi hidden. It's there if you know what you're looking for with hidden villages and churches splattered all across the globe, and most of the worlds elite and even a lot of academia/religious groups are semi aware of its existence. The problem is that a lot of it is very dangerous, so it's very easy to get yourself killed if you dig too deep.
Siguanaba is a spirit that looks like a beautiful woman hanging out in the desert or near lakes in the middle of the night, that like a siren pulls you in to try and eat you before it's revealed it has a horse head or skull instead of a human one. It's a kind of metaphorical thing with the pirate, where he found gold, woman, and power all his life and was never satisfied or happy.
That's the idea, but I'm going to have to chill for tonight. I think I'm coming down with a cold or something. Talk more tomorrow when I'm feeling better.
Still a little sore and coughing a little, but I finally feel alive again. Lol. Am about to chow down on Burgers, haven't really eaten anything in three days so I'm starving.
