Questionable Questing

I didn't get a date today. But I saw the new mission impossible so that was pretty fun. Don't know if your interested in that series.

Deleting Hinge, sounds pretty serious. lol. But with Mission Impossible, the goods the stunts. Everyone knows Tom Cruise, everyone knows he's a lunatic who likes doing his own crazy stunts. So climbing up buildings, hanging out of aircraft, in this newest one they were on an abandoned submarine that had sunk to the bottom of the ocean looking for a macguffin.

And you had a solid twenty or thirty minutes of just almost silence except for his breathing, where he's wondering around a falling apart nuclear submarine, bodies, failing electrical equipment, lose torpedos all strewn about constantly shifting as the ship is slowly slipping off over the edge of a canyon. Really cool set pieces, this one in particular was one of the best in the series.

Plus Tom knows his eye candy, and with how popular this series is can always find some very fine actresses to sign on. lol. But onto the bad, Tom's character is a nothing burger. The most generic good guy spy you can think of. Each installment centers around a different bad guy and plot, which gives you some very nice variety in locations and designs, but limits any long form character or world building.

I wonder how they set up the underwater canyon. CGI or practical effect and you check my server yet if you want date details and pic of girl

And finally, some pretty shitty lines. Characters don't feel natural sometimes. Bad guys doing plots or plans with no believable motivation. Series moments feel stupid because they go on for too long or use super cheesy monologues. Plus, since this is a more family focused series it really limits the blood and murders you can show on screen. It never goes full John Wick with the henchmen which is always a shame.

Oh, I saw the girl. She looks pretty cute. Her face has some pretty fat cheeks, I would probably tease her about if I ever met her. lol. But I do like the long hair. Short hair's nice too, but I hate how stupidly popular it's become. But with Tom's character, he has his moments and one of his best traits is that in each movie he gets the shit kicked out of him. They are not afraid to have him lose or get hurt.

I think in Ghost Protocol, by the end of the movie after the climactic battle with the bad guy over the launch codes to some nukes in a parking garage, which is a lot cooler than it sounds. They were constantly getting in and out of cars and smashing into each other like go carts. But by the end of it he had been shot several times, stabbed, and had a leg shattered. Literally collapsing after the battle was won.

Two animated kids movies and than this. Odd combo

I know right. lol. All of them really good though. It's kind of a shame his last two, Tomorrowland and Incredibles 2, where both pretty bad. He's been a favorite director of mine and with how terrible of a state the animation industry is in right now, I've been hoping he has a resurgence again soon.
