No, the monster is not destroyed just wounded. The minute anyone stands up to it, he runs away. But the MC ended up burning down the cult's compound and killing most of the people involved. So he wounded it. But the MC learned how to brave and escaped, so victory I guess. If you ignore that he's traumatized and all his friends are dead for reasons he'll never be able to explain.

How goes you? Fucking hot as hell for me here in Arizona. We haven't even hit the middle of summer and we're already getting 103 or 105 degree days. Makes everything slower and more exhausting. lol. Smut just for smut isn't as interesting as people think. You start to realize there's only so many words you can use to describe a penis or a vagina, and only so many ways or positions to describe the two combining. It's why for my own writing the only way I can make it fun is if I'm finding ways to mix in plot points or relationship musings.

For me one of the reasons I like writing porn so much is that it actually helps me break through some self imposed limits. Since if it's not porn then it's serious, and if it's serious I can't include too much swearing, violence, and have to take it seriously. Or at least used to I'm a lot better now about it now. At the end of the day if I'm not enjoying writing, why bother.

But I used to have a big problem of needing to overthink it, and by turning it into porn and thus something unserious, I was able to separate my writing from myself and keep from overly criticizing it. If that makes any sort of sense. lol.

But a SFW novel with that setting? Going to be honest porn seemed pretty integral, or at least the emotions and feelings that came from the casual debauchery seeping into everyday life. You'll need something to replace that, and I'm not a hundred percent sure what could carry the same hook and shock value.
