You're absolutely right. I like to see the MC act more rational and not just turn into a simp for whatever inane reason. It's humanizing to see a character reflect and actually see what is actually hurting then and to get themselves out of a toxic situation.

Curious, do you have any recommendations for stories that you draw your inspiration from? I really want to find more stories like yours now.
