    I finally figured out how to have my cake and eat it too; have Minthara and still slaught the goblin children, that is. Have to spawn in an Act 2 Minthara in Act 1 and make her go to my camp, this flags her as a companion, and thus revivable, and then I agree with Halsin to slaught the goblins, kill her btw, and then revive her. Perfect ending, right?

    Actually, what happened to me is that Minthara stands next to Karlach. I think they purposefully fixed this so that you could do both, or rather, whoever is second kind of just has to stand in the middle of the camp

    I was very smart about that. I know about my issues with replaying shit, so I just didn't touch EA except for the first 3 hour session I did with friends back in 2021. I'm glad I did that, because I really did enjoy my first playthrough quite a lot.

    But now I'm thinking I need to set the game down and wait a year to be able to really enjoy a Durge playthrough

    The funny thing is, I was too fast to murder Karga in the Druid Grove, sparking the Druid/Tiefling War and leading to Alfira's death in that battle. So I didn't even get to kill Alfira in her sleep, I got some shitty random dragonborn bitch as a placeholder instead, lmao.

    Meh, I'll probably just take this Dark Urge playthrough a little slower tbh. A couple hours a night instead of 10-12 hours a day like I did my first playthrough.

    The druids did nothing wrong, but they are annoying af... the tieflings were in the wrong, but they aren't utterly worthless like the druids.

    Untabletop things... I actually never knew you could throw potions for ranged, aoe heals. Neat. Also, I used to focus on picking up fire barrels in the other larian game, but now I have to also stock up on crates and candles if I wanna play hard mode... also, it's so weird that merchant inventories are aligned with your level.

    You don't really have the opportunity to slaughter the other side once you've slaughtered one side. Like I tried killing off the druids first, and then the story just progresses, same with the goblins. Though, I guess you could still kill either side afterwards, but I think it'd more interesting to let them kill each other while profiting on the side.

    Stealth archery rogue shit is something I tried a lot, but I gave up on it because I could never get the swap between real time and turn base for the stealth actions right. Also because everyone immediately detects shit and you can't really one shot sneak kill the ones that matter, and you always get revealed so it's like, urgh.

    I'll admit it, I guess Shadowheart isn't that bad. It's always a situational thing, I guess I'm just surrounded by hot girls irl, but when I'm stuck Baldur's Gate, and there's no pretty people except for those with magic STIs, she's actually quite pretty.

    I killed minthara in my first playthrough too, but when I was playing less "heroic good" and on the harder difficulty where I couldn't wade through oceans of blood, I found that a lot of the time I had to talk my way through things, and that got me into the minthara route, tho at the time it was just a "fuck and forget"
