The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
Hmmmmmmm. I'll consider it. I've got a thousand and one other things to do, but I'll keep it in mind. Maybe poke me in a month or two if I've not gotten around to it by then?
That's fair, I suppose. I've never used Reader Mode. Problem is that not only are not all of my CYOAs in my thread (some are still in the General thread), but there are other threadmarks as well that aren't CYOAs, plus that would be a *lot* of threadmarks cluttering up the threadmarks, plus for...
Then it's odd that it doesn't work for XF2, when in XF1 it worked fine. Hard refresh showed correct blue alert count on the bell before the upgrade.
EDIT: To be clear, I'm not terribly fussed about the blue number being inaccurate per se - I'd just like for some blue number to be shown if there...
I use Lightened theme. I'm referring to new alerts, ones that I didn't read before and which are marked as "Read: A moment ago."
Nah, I do hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) from whatever page I'm on (usually General CYOA thread's latest page).
I do a hard refresh of whatever thread page I'm on. Then...
I always do a hard refresh of a page (Ctrl + F5) before checking alerts, even if there's a blue number icon. Does that count as loading the page?
And often times, after doing a hard refresh, it will still not show a blue number at all, but when I click the bell to open the drop-down menu, it...
Is anyone else getting incorrect "numbers" on alerts?
That is, the blue number that appears over the bell icon when you have new alerts. Ever since the transition, it hardly ever matches the actual number of new alerts. Heck, even if it doesn't show a number at all, I still have to click open...
I don't suppose we can see a return of the previous "eek" smiley? The old was great for expressing surprise, the new one is more like expressing dismay. It's disconcerting to look through my old posts and see the tone of a line take a very different shift with the new smiley.
Like, you can keep...
Some of the old smileys are missing, in particular I'm missing a couple of the old confused ones. Like the blue-green one with a squiggly-line mouth, or the yellow o.0 one. Is it possible to restore those please? :)
I didn't want to clear all my valuable cookies, so I tried just deleting QQ's cookies. After needing to log back in, it works now. Thanks! Sorry for needing a basic tech-support tip.
Whenever I quote something, either by just selecting Quote on a post, or by selecting text first and then selecting Quote, then click the newly appeared "Insert quotes" button in the reply box, it says, "Oops! We ran into some problems. No messages were selected."
I seem to remember in the old...
