The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
I appreciate it, and I'm doing alright. I'm taking some time off because my dogs died one after another. Both of them were old, and both had longstanding medical issues, so it wasn't unexpected. It still sucks, though. I'll be back soon enough after a break to get my head on straight.
Currently, I am not. I have my hands full with A Fun Time, Not A Long time with my other works. Sorry about that, but if a spot suddenly opens up, I'll shoot you a message to see if you're still interested.
I've tried my hand at original works, and I have a few drafts floating around the cloud, but none of them feel compelling enough to dedicate a slot in my rotation to. I'm still playing around with original works, so that might change one day, but I have no idea when.
I want to eventually -- it was a really fun story -- but I already have a full plate, so adding on more right now would be a bad idea. Sometime in the future, hopefully.
Also, a bit of advice -- find a beta that's honest with you. No matter how good of a writer you are, you will make mistakes. A good beta can go back and forth with you to improve your work beyond just fixing grammar.
Hopes this helps!
The big secret is consistency. Give yourself a few hours a day and dedicate it to writing. Eventually, you'll form a habit and after that, the act of writing gets a lot easier. Try to keep to that time -- it helps with the creative process, and it prevents burnout.
For me, I try to get 5k words per day. It took me a while to work up to that point, though, so it would be better to start out at a more reasonable goal. See how many words you can write in a day, then try to aim a little higher until you can consistently hit that goal. Then move the goal post...
It's all good. I tossed the Power corrupts thread on ignore a few weeks ago, and I haven't taken it off yet so people are kinda screaming into the void at the moment. They'll either get it out of their system or they'll drop the story -- either way, things will go back to normal soon enough.

Not on topic. There are other threads about Vergil's life as a harem protagonist. This one is about Vergil and Lowtown, not his love life.
Same as above -- not the place to have an existential crisis.

It takes practice. No one starts out good -- for example, the first story I ever wrote was a Naruto fanfic. The kind that starts with Naruto being chased by a mob of villagers. And I would recommend using Google docs. I have yet to have any issues after I started using it.
The secret is to make a habit of writing. Give yourself an hour or two every day to write, give yourself a reasonable word goal, and try to meet it. Once you form a habit, then it's a lot easier to just write naturally.
I'm basing it off of the game. I'm currently reading through cyberpunk Red for background info, but the game is what I know best. And I figure that's also what people are going to know best.
