Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

The problem with Assault Mechs when trying to intercept raiders is that unless you can get between the raiders and their dropships and force them to come to you the Assault Mechs just move too slowly. Heavies and mediums would be the optimal loadout here.
In fairness to Pax, none of Gene's enemies have really gone with artillery, then again, so far he's been up against pirates, who can't really afford good artillery, and Dracs, who prefer banzai charges. Maybe Gene's upcoming adventures in the Reach will pit him against enemies more likely to...
Honestly the Stone Rhino gets kinda a bad rap, it's actually a pretty decent direct fire-support mech, it's only two problems are that it's a big target (then again name an assault mech that isn't) and that it's relatively rare so most commanders are hesitant to commit it to a fight, that rarity...
Could also be a Longbow or a Stalker. Or possibly a Crockett, but that's unlikely as the design was basically extinct outside of Comstar stockpiles by this time and they didn't start giving some downgraded models to the snakes until the Clan Invasion.
I'm honestly surprised by the attempted assassination at the end of the duel, that's a pretty severe breach of Zellbrigen. If Gene hadn't killed those pilots Natasha may very well have done so herself with her bare hands for the stain upon her honor.
Judging by the designation, I'm gonna guess Warship? How'd Gene manage to get something like that without one of the Houses taking it (or destroying it to keep the others from taking it), or ComStar pulling another Tripitz Affair?
The ComGuards beat the Clans, granted a significant part of that victory was due to prepared positions and exploiting in-depth knowledge of the weaknesses in the Clan's culture and battle tactics, but still what chance do you think two of the slightly larger mercenary companies have against that?
Or being a good enough shot without assistance from the targeting computer to put the rounds onto the target yourself. Not a lot of Mechwarriors train for that though.
