The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
I'm absolutely adoring the ability to Ignore from the threadlist.
I just ignored an entire page sans four threads, almost entire page's worth of stuff that I knew just from the tags that I'd never click on.
My threadlist is going to be so tidy, I love it!
Jumping on the "Flexile Dark 2.0 pls" bandwagon as well.
IMO the white-on-grey with blue header and hyperlinks is just the definitive look for QQ, like white-on-blue with green hyperlinks is for SB.
That said, the Blackened High Contrast one is definitely a good readability addition, even if I...
I'm really not a fan of this new greyscale minimalist Default Dark theme.
Something like the older blue/grey/black theme would be way better
That being said, I do absolutely love how there's no more big margins on the sides of the page, things are a lot more screenspace efficient now.
So...
The main feature I want beyond the better security and overall future-proofing is ignoring threads from the thread list.
It's a feature that sister sites like SB/SV already have, and it's honestly lovely. There are so many threads in Creative Writing that I know at a glance I'll never click...
Hmm, I thought we'd already moved over? The announcement was, what, going on four years ago?
Regardless, the ignore features were all in the same XF update, weren't they? If SB/SV already have it, and QQ has it for the in-thread UI... doesn't that mean the architecture is already there, but...
As the title says;
I find it a little odd that QQ implemented XenForo's ignore button feature around the same time as SB/SV did, but only when you're in the thread itself, and not just browsing the forums.
There are a lot of threads I know I'll never click on just from the title, so saving...
Being able to ignore threads without having to click on them would be a great QoL improvement.
Spacebattles and Sufficient Velocity both have such a feature, and it's a minor but much appreciated addition.
